Acolyte Ministry: Serving Together in Worship

The Acolyte Ministry is a wonderful opportunity for children, youth, and adults to take an active role in the worship and life of St. Edwards’ church. Acolytes help lead our congregation in worship by carrying the cross, candles, and other sacred symbols, assisting at the altar, and helping our services flow with reverence and grace.

More than simply serving during a service, being an acolyte is a meaningful way to grow in faith, learn about the Episcopal tradition, build friendships, and become more connected to our church family. Acolytes remind us that everyone has a place in worship and that people of all ages have gifts to share in serving God and others.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you are a child just beginning to explore ways to serve, a youth looking for a deeper connection to your faith, or an adult eager to participate more fully in worship, there is a place for you in our Acolyte Ministry. No previous experience is necessary—just a willing heart and a desire to serve. Watch for upcoming training opportunities.

Come be part of this special ministry as we worship together, serve together, and grow together in faith. We would love to welcome you to the team!
